They both let you work flexibly and quickly with your data but generally require some understanding of HTML. Unlike IWP they do not put much load on our servers so will keep your hosting costs down. PHP is the easier to use. FileMaker now have a PHP site assistant that can make it easy to generate sophisticated PHP pages for simple (only one main table) databases. To build a site you will need to develop your database and then host it on one of our servers. When you have done this you will be able to interact with it using the site assistant that is built into FileMaker Pro. This will generate web pages you can put on your own website that interact with your data. If you don't have a website you can use for this we can host the pages for you. Link to FileMaker's CWP documentation. For more advanced use FMWebschool have a tool called FMStudio that can be used to build advanced sites. FMStudio requires a copy of the web publishing program Dreamweaver. If you would like to see an example of CWP via PHP click on the graphics below. These will open in a new window a live public example of FMP database driven pages working with one of our servers.
